Olá people! Since my education is in english I will be writing a little bit of both. Practice, practice!
As the school semesters go by things pop up that I would like to do. Things I feel I don’t have time to prioritize… Or lets put it this way –>things I dont make time for<– (Note: big difference between not having time and not making time). Summer vacation just arrived and I made a checklist of things I want to improve/learn/master this summer.
This is my to-do-list (so far)
I need to read more fiction, sitting there with a book (of my choice) the mind floats away daydreaming. After 25 pages what have been read is very unclear. This summer, that will change. Stating that I have never been to the west coast in Sweden there are always some jaws dropping (to my defense I ask these people if they have ever been somewhere north of Stockholm), well this summer I will go there. Making “commercials” for events at school with iMovie, there will be no more, final cut pro here I come. This is “the crow”, just need that one leg pointing straight out.
What does handstands and crows have to do with an engineer education? Let me tell you the answer to that: In order to keep myself motivated, to keep my mind centered and to build my self-esteem I need to master other things as well as my books.
My brother once gave me a wise note. He said that you should spend at least two hours a day learning, challenging yourself to enhance self-development. It could be reading, playing an instrument, a new language, working out, etc. Just keep learning and widen your spectrum of things you can master.
Why I wanna learn Portuguese? I will tell you another time.
