PRESS RELEASE: The Womengineer Foundation works for a more equal engineering industry. To broaden its perspective, the foundation has recruited three new members to its Advisory Board. The group consists of a total of six people, who with their different backgrounds and experiences will challenge the organization in the right direction.

To receive support in external communication and marketing, Womengineer has collaborated with the agency Zooma for many years, where Anders Bjorklund is the founder and CEO.

Anders believes that “Womengineer's work is enormously important in promoting modern innovation and development that creates more relevant innovations and even more sustainable solutions from all perspectives.”

A person with practical experience of Womengineer's work, and primarily in organizing IGEday, is Katarina Matson, who has worked at Volvo Cars for most of her career. Katarina has been running the company Let's Tango for some time now, which focuses on helping companies and organizations with inclusion, equality and diversity issues.”

“Womengineer does important work by being a driving force that shows opportunities, highlights companies and role models, and in various ways inspires girls to invest in the engineering profession. There is everything to be gained from an equal engineering industry where women are as self-evident as men and where everyone's potential is utilized,” says Katarina.

As the founder of a social entrepreneurship, Per Clingweld with, initiator of the digital recruitment service Just Arrived. Per is also CEO of Zaplify.

”"As a founder, CEO and investor, I have been involved in building several companies over the past 15 years. In all cases, it has yielded a lot, both in culture and productivity, once we have managed to achieve a more equal position between the genders. Unfortunately, it has often taken time and has often been far too male-dominated to begin with. I want my daughter to grow up in a world that looks different than it does today," says Per.

About IGEday

IGEday stands for Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day and is organized annually by the Womengineer Foundation. The aim is to increase interest in technology among young girls and non-binary people by inviting companies to come on study visits. This year, IGEday will take place on March 31st, when 84 companies will open their doors at around 100 locations in Sweden.

Womengineer is a foundation that works to increase the proportion of girls in technical education. The goal is that by 2030, there will be as many female engineers as male engineers graduating, as increased gender equality at technical universities leads to increased welfare for Sweden.
