The Womengineer Foundation, which works to inspire and support women to choose the engineering profession, is taking a new step in its development by bringing new skills to the board. Lai Kim LIM takes the role of chair and \u00c5sa S\u00f6der\u00e9n becomes a new board member. These additions mark an important investment to strengthen the organization's work and impact going forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lai Kim Lim \u2013 experienced leader and champion for diversity in technology<\/strong>
With an extensive background in global retail and e-commerce companies, both in Asia and Europe, Lai Kim Lim has established herself as a strategic leader with international reach. Her background combines expertise in growth, strategy and technology, making her well-suited to navigate complex and dynamic environments. She is driven by changing structures and creating conditions for a more equal and developing technology industry. Lai Kim currently works at H&M as Area Manager Store Business Tech. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c5sa S\u00f6der\u00e9n \u2013 expert in communication and opinion formation<\/strong>
\u00c5sa S\u00f6der\u00e9n, who also joins the board, is a driving force in communications, marketing and advocacy. With a background in strategic roles in both the non-profit sector, business and politics, she brings a unique combination of insights and commitment to promoting Womengineer's vision. \u00c5sa currently works as Communications and Marketing Manager at Sveriges Ingenj\u00f6rer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investment in the Wera and IGEday projects \u2013 for female engineers in technology and sustainability<\/strong>
One of the strategic focus areas for Womengineer going forward is the further development of Wera, an initiative launched in 2024 in collaboration with Ny Teknik. Wera is a network that promotes women's influence in technology, sustainability and leadership. Together with the successful initiative IGEday (\u201cIntroduce a Girl to Engineering day\u201d), which annually gives thousands of young girls the opportunity to try out the engineering profession, Wera reinforces Womengineer's mission to create conditions for more women to succeed and thrive as engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Womengineer Foundation<\/strong>
Womengineer was founded in 2008 and aims to achieve an equal gender distribution among those graduating as engineers in Sweden by 2030, because the world will simply be better if everyone is involved in shaping it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
